If you’re reading this, you most likely already know which key Twitter metrics you should be tracking:
  • Top Tweets
  • Follower Growth
  • Impressions
  • Interactions & Engagement
Now, let’s make this data actionable by understanding how analytics can directly inform your strategy and make your Twitter presence a success:
  1. Identify top-performing content and replicate success - Use the key metrics to learn what type of content lands well with your followers and create based on that
  2. Find the best time to tweet - Use tools like Socialbakers to see activity by day of the week and even hour of the day. This is crucial given that the platform focuses on short, real-time information sharing
  3. Tailor content to your audience - Probably not a huge fan of paid promotion but Twitter ads manager can help you get a clearer picture of your audience, understanding age, gender, location, buying styles, etc to better craft tweets that speak directly to your ideal ‘customer’
